My name is Krish Shrestha, and my journey with cooking began at a young age in my hometown, Inaruwa, Sunsari, Nepal. Growing up in a Newar family, I was surrounded by a wide variety of traditional dishes, especially during festivals and family gatherings where food played an important role.
Most of what I learned came from my mother. She taught me how to prepare different cultural dishes step by step, and through that experience, I developed a strong interest in cooking. The first dish I made on my own was a simple egg omelet, a small moment that gave me confidence and motivated me to keep learning.
As I grew older, my curiosity around food continued to grow. I explored different recipes and styles, and like many people, I also enjoyed fast food such as pizza and burgers. However, over time, I experienced discomfort from frequently eating outside food, which made me rethink my habits.
That experience became a turning point. I shifted my focus toward home cooking and realized that it is not only healthier, but also more reliable and satisfying. Cooking at home gave me better control over ingredients, flavor, and overall quality.
I started cooking regularly at the age of 14, and over time, I built my experience through consistent practice. Now, as a student in the A-Level Cambridge program at Little Angels’ College of Higher Studies in Lalitpur, Kathmandu, I see how common it is for people to depend on outside food, which further motivates me to focus on simple and practical home cooking.
Krivia Recipes was created from that perspective. The goal is to help people enjoy cooking at home by making it simple, practical, and approachable.
My Approach
My approach to cooking is built on simplicity, consistency, and practicality. I focus on creating recipes that are easy to follow, use accessible ingredients, and can be prepared without confusion in a real home kitchen.

Purpose
I am currently studying in the A-Level Cambridge program at Little Angels’ College of Higher Studies in Lalitpur, Kathmandu. Moving to Kathmandu exposed me to a different lifestyle, where I noticed how common it is for people to rely heavily on outside food in their daily routine.
This reminded me of my own experience and the challenges that come with it. I had gone through similar habits before, and I understood how easily convenience can replace healthier choices. That realization became one of the main reasons behind creating Krivia Recipes.
